Ntercept Communications (formerly SpeakOut.com), Washington, DC  l July 1999 to Present

CTO and Vice President Engineering

 

Ntercept Communications is a vertical market software company that focuses on the large and growing opinion and market research industry.  The Company has developed a leading and proprietary software product known as Ntercept that is being sold in an application service provider (ASP) model via the Internet to a growing list of Fortune 1000 customers.

 

l         As CTO, managed corporate IT strategy, planning, and finances, and Intellectual Property concerns.

l         As VP of Engineering, managed 15 developers and a $3.8 million development budget. Managed software design process, software architecture design, technical recruitment, RFPs, and web site design / development.

l         Ntercept software has been used to conduct over 400,000 surveys for leading Fortune 100 companies and national broadcast networks and is covered by three patent filings.

l         Managed the development of SpeakOut.com, an online activism site that supported 500,000 registered users, 16,000,000 visitors and 96,000,000 page views.

l         Implemented management systems for version control, defect management, testing, new feature and function design using XP (Extreme Engineering) protocols.

 

OutReach Technologies, Columbia, MD  l January 1997 to June 1999

Product Architect

 

OutReach Technologies was a provider of Internet based voice and data conferencing  products and tools.

 

l         As Product Architect, was responsible for designing Internet data conferencing tools.  Designed and developed the company’s Internet based group presentation product.  Worked with the development team on the design of all of the company’s Voice and Data Products and Tools.

l         Acted as the “voice of the customer” and worked with the Sales and Marketing Groups and the Engineering Group to communicate the customers needs to the development process.

l         Was an integral part of the Sales group that dealt with the company’s biggest customers.  Acted a technical liaison with highest levels of management in customers’ organizations that included national and international telecommunications companies.

l         Responsible for developing written and computer based training materials and delivering training classes to customer base.

 

 

VGMedia, Inc. , Baltimore, MD  l October 1992 to December 1996

Vice President Engineering

 

VGMedia was a multimedia communications company specializing in the production of video and computer-based materials used for marketing, training and fund-raising.

 

l         As Vice President of Engineering, was responsible for managing developer resources to create customer products on tight deadlines, with changing requirements.  Designed and developed all of the client software products.

l         Analyzed customer requirements to create project plan and software architectural designs.

l         Completed over 175 projects for local, national and international clients.
